Abstract / Description

The politics of health equity involve a variety of views, beliefs, and factors that affect how health inequity is discussed and how health policies are implemented. Such differing political perspectives shape our perceptions of health issues and health disparities experienced by marginalized populations, influencing the actions taken to address them. Political divides and polarization are persistent challenges to implementing initiatives that will serve communities in need and improve health outcomes.
This webinar brings together voices to share their insights on the role of politics in the advancement of health equity. Speakers discuss ways that organizations across sectors can collaboratively participate in the political process and bridge political gaps to push for policies and programs that will improve health outcomes for all.
